“One teen at a time, we can change the world.” This is a major part of the STOKED philosophy. Stoked uses mentoring and action sports to teach teens life lessons. The youth involved get support from a team of people determined to see them succeed. New York VJ Brian Vines checks in on the members of this inspiring endeavor.

Because of its mental and physical challenges, the Peter Westbrook Foundation in New York utilizes the sport of fencing to develop life skills and empowerment for youth. VJ Brian Vines visits the organization’s young fencers as they practice.

The Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation provides a variety of classes as a way to unite people of different races, ages, and backgrounds. Their new teen hip hop class inspired New York VJ Brian Vines to check out the center and learn a few moves.

MCs leave your mics at home, Bboys and Bgirls leave your dancing shoes in the closet, because tonight the only people doing battle are Picassos and Van Goghs! VJIAMs Brian Vines takes us inside a New York club to see artists do battle, armed with brush and palette, and paint for survival.
